Kitti is an associate in the Finance Team at CMS Budapest, with a strong focus on banking and financial regulation.

She previously gained in-house experience as legal counsel at the Hungarian Export-Import Bank, where she developed a deep understanding of banking operations, regulatory oversight and internal decision-making processes.

Kitti advises clients on a wide range of Hungarian and EU financial regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance, supervisory requirements and licensing procedures. She supports financial institutions in identifying and mitigating contractual and regulatory risks and assists with the development and review of internal policies to ensure alignment with applicable legal requirements and industry best practices. Her regulatory practice also covers product structuring and ongoing compliance.

On the transactional side, Kitti has extensive experience advising on finance transactions, conducting due diligences and preparing, reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex legal documents, including facility agreements, guarantee agreements, LMA-standard documentation and related memoranda.

Combining regulatory and transactional expertise, Kitti helps clients navigate complex legal frameworks with practical, business-focused solutions.

Relevant experience

  • SimplePay, the Fintech affiliate of OTP Bank on SimplePay’s entry into the Hungarian market as a payment service provider, including obtaining the required MNB (Hungarian National Bank) regulatory authorisation.
  • Cooperative Credit Institutions (SZHISZ) on harmonising all template agreements, GTCs and policies for FHB Bank and Takarékbank. 
  • The Hungarian Export-Import Bank/ING Bank on a 12-year MIGA covered loan from ING Bank to Exim Hungary for MIGA climate finance lending. 
  • Integration Organization of Erste Group Bank AG on the financing of CEE Real Invest, South Buda Business Park.
  • OTP Bank on an amendment relating to the financing of a hotel project in Budapest. 
  • Crédit Agricole Corporate and investment Bank, MUFG Bank Ltd. on a USD 2bn loan to SK On Co., a South Korean battery maker, for the construction of a plant in Hungary.
  • A major US-based commercial bank [Citibank/PWC] on a global managed legal services mandate, including reviewing its facility agreements against a bespoke playbook.
  • A Hungarian financial institution on a credit portfolio transfer.
  • International Finance Corporation on various security interest issues.
  • Tungsram on its bankruptcy proceedings.
