CMS Technology Transformation Report
Key contacts
Welcome to the second edition of the CMS Technology Transformation Report - our publication dedicated to exploring the risks and opportunities arising from technology implementation as perceived by the people responsible for managing and advising on technology risks. In the report, we analyse data from a survey of more than 500 GCs, senior in-house counsel and risk managers and compare their current concerns to the views expressed in our previous survey from 2022.
The report delves into key trends and offers strategic insights into managing both existing and emerging technology risks. It also provides a detailed analysis of how organisations navigate these challenges.
Key findings:
More pragmatic drivers for the adoption of new technology: Concerns about the management and mitigation of risks are playing an increasingly important role as a driver for the adoption of new technology.
AI risks in focus: Organisations are keen to adopt AI technologies, see the potential benefits and indeed necessity of AI technologies, and are aware there are risks. What is far less clear is where those risks will manifest.
Managing technology disputes: Respondents have confidence that their state courts can effectively resolve technology disputes, but the majority believe that new forms of dispute resolution will be needed for disputes relating to new technologies.
