Our insurance sector lawyers across the world work with some of the market’s largest insurance businesses, offering exceptional depth and breadth of expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions to the sector:

Claims & Coverage

CMS’ market-leading policy wording and claims practitioners are at the apex of current legal thinking, helping (re)insurers, brokers and risk managers to solve disputes and manage exposure across more than 30 lines of business.

Corporate & Regulatory

Our Corporate Insurance team advises on all aspects of insurance-related transactions and works closely with our financial services, regulatory, claims, competition, employment, pensions, tax, dispute resolution departments and other specialists to deliver a seamless end-to-end service for our clients. Our regulatory specialists advise on UK and EU compliance, handle new products and distribution, and deal with a wide range of agreements. We help insurers deal with the PRA and the FCA and handle supervisory and enforcement issues as diverse as capital adequacy, financial crime and distribution channels. We advise clients across more than 30 lines of business.

The best protection is experience

We focus on developing close personal working relationships across our international network so we can offer you consistent service, particularly on claims and coverage advice. We have over 100 insurance specialists across 33 jurisdictions, from Latin America, through Europe to Asia.

We offer you more than legal advice and support. We share industry expertise through regular seminars, webinars, the leading publication “Ten things every insurer should know”, and themed networking events. We will be launching a client mobile App in 2019.

We have made it our business to know the insurance market inside out. We speak the industry’s language and our clients tell us we have the in-depth knowledge they need to support their business.
