Life Sciences and Healthcare
Borys Danevych has been appointed the new Co-Head of the CMS Life Sciences and Healthcare Sector Group. Based in Kyiv, Borys is also a Partner and Head of Life Sciences & Healthcare practices at CMS Ukraine and across the CEE region.
Borys brings 20 years of experience working with international pharmaceutical, biotech, animal health, medtech companies, as well as healthcare service providers and health technology organisations. He regularly advises clients on complex regulatory, compliance and commercial matters, anti-counterfeiting, pharmaceutical competition and IP, policy dialogue projects and regulatory disputes.
Intellectual Property
Jean-Baptiste Thiénot has been appointed Co-Head of the Intellectual Property Group.
Based in Paris, Jean-Baptiste focuses on patent litigation in the French court system. He is also a Unified Patent Court (UPC) registered representative. He frequently acts in complex litigation relating to products subject to specific regulations, such as health products, cosmetics, and vaping, and advises on and drafts contracts, including those related to R&D, assignment and licensing, technology transfer, and rights portfolio audits. He also assists with implementing innovation protection policies, including those related to employee inventions.
