IOSCO: Principles for financial benchmarks

IOSCO has published its final report on the above. The guidelines have been established for benchmark administrators and other relevant bodies in the following areas: governance; benchmark quality; quality of the methodology and accountability mechanisms. The principles provide for benchmark administrators to publicly disclose their compliance with the principles within twelve months of the publication of the report, with the intention of IOSCO reviewing within an 18 month period the extent to which the principles have been implemented.
