Green claims in focus: Food and textile sectors
We’ll begin with the general principles of the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive, then dive into sector-specific rules.
For food sector, speakers will examine the German Federal Court of Justice’s ruling on climate-neutral claims and its implications for sustainability labels like Fair Trade and Certified Cocoa.
For the textile sector, our experts will cover specific rules affecting environmental claims, including eco-design with the future digital product passport and stringent French requirements, in particular the environmental qualities and characteristics sheets that have already been sanctioned, not to mention the upcoming eco-score, the Triman logo in a difficult position and the closely watched bill on fast fashion.
Expect examples of borderline claims, insights on data proof and need for transparency, and guidance on avoiding misleading advertising.
