Antoine Laniez leads CMS Luxembourg’s Dispute Resolution practice and is recognised for his work on complex cross‑border disputes.
He advises institutional clients on high‑value arbitration and litigation, with a particular focus on commercial, corporate and insolvency matters, and has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and funds‑related litigation and financial disputes.
He has a prominent cross‑border recognition and enforcement practice, including proceedings involving sovereign states.
A board member of the Luxembourg Arbitration Association, he contributed to drafting Luxembourg’s new arbitration law enacted in 2023, and he regularly sits as counsel and arbitrator in high‑profile matters.
He remains active in academia and pro bono work, delivering lectures on arbitration at the University of Luxembourg and contributing to its Consumer Law Clinic.
He was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2006, as a solicitor of the higher courts of England and Wales (non‑practising) in 2011, and to the French Bar (non‑practising) in 2013.
