Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, has signed the acquisition of the operating companies* of the Baatz Group, a family-owned business founded in 1938, which employs 470 people and generated revenue of €100 million in 2025.
These companies, which operate in earthworks, deep foundations, demolition, remediation, materials recycling and ready-mix concrete production, will strengthen and complement the expertise of Perrard, Eiffage Construction’s subsidiary in Luxembourg.
This acquisition will enable Eiffage Construction to offer, in Luxembourg, a comprehensive range of services covering civil engineering, building construction and real estate, while reinforcing its commitment to the circular economy. With more than 750 employees, the combined entity will generate revenue of approximately €180 million.
Building on more than 125 years of history, and through this acquisition, Eiffage Construction will further establish itself as a leading player in the construction and real estate sectors in Luxembourg, committed to the ecological transition.
The existing management team will remain in place, ensuring continuity of service for clients, partners and employees.
The CMS Luxembourg team was led by Antoine Laniez (Partner), with the support of Hélène Retière (Counsel), who notably led the real estate and construction law aspects of the transaction. The team also included Pawel Hermelinski (Partner), Alexandre Tangton (Counsel), as well as Elhoussein Ouled Larabi and Angélique Eguether (Senior Associates) on the corporate/M&A aspects, Frédéric Feyten (Partner) on tax matters, and Hugo Arellano (Partner) and Leslie Ledrich (Counsel) on employment law matters.
KPMG Paris also advised on the financial aspects of the transaction. The team comprised Arthur Texte (Director) and Benjamin Patte.
Our sincere thanks to the Eiffage Construction teams for their trust and for the quality of our collaboration throughout this project, in particular Olivier Berthelot, Christophe Van Ophem, Julien Leroy and Bruno Vaivrand.
