CMS has advised BAM on the acquisition of a strategic minority stake in Droneview, a leading Dutch provider of drone services for the built environment. BAM and Droneview have been working together successfully for many years on housing sustainability projects, using drones to map housing complexes faster, safer, and more accurately.
This step is in line with BAM's ambition to further accelerate digitsation. Drone technology increases labour productivity and contributes in part to solving the shortage of technically skilled employees. This participation also ensures that BAM has access to crucial technology and capacity to carry out housing sustainability projects more efficiently.
Droneview was founded in 2012 and provides support across the entire chain, from drone flights and inspections to data processing, 3D modelling, and digital delivery via an advanced online customer portal. The company conducts drone inspections of homes, commercial buildings, bridges, and other objects and provides accurate three-dimensional models for design and implementation. BAM is currently a major customer of Droneview's services, alongside municipalities and clients in real estate, infrastructure, and engineering. The provider is one of the most technologically advanced drone service companies in the Netherlands. The company will continue to operate independently after BAM's participation.
CMS has advised BAM on all relevant aspects of the acquisition process from start to finish. The team comprised Elmer Veenman, Carola de Bruijn, Pieter de Kanter, Niels de Vries, Niels Koene, Anne Fleur Krijthe, Mara Pouw, Tom Schlatmann, Niels Sopar, Marita van der Werff, Ymke van Loon and Merel van Vliet.
