Per 1 March CMS-lawyer Jurjen Groot is appointed as external expert of EU China IPR SME Helpdesk.
The EU China IPR SME Helpdesk is financed by the European Commission. It aims to support European SMEs in the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property in China. The daily execution lies with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and a technology partner. The EU Chamber of Commerce in China is a support base for European businesses in China and also a well-organized lobby platform towards the Chinese government.
Being the only external expert in the Netherlands, Jurjen will on behalf of the EUChina IPR SME Helpdesk organize periodic workshops for Dutch companies with (planned) activities in China and act as a sparring partner for the helpdesk.
The first event where Jurjen will act on behalf of the EU China IPR SME Helpdesk will be the seminar ‘IPR in China’ on March 5, 2013 in Rotterdam, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam, China guanxi.nu network and the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH).
