Monitoring consumer protection has been one of the priorities of the Peruvian consumer protection authority. It is no wonder as, after all, everybody is a consumer. In this challenging and increasingly regulated legal environment, we help companies be compliant. 

We have a multidisciplinary team that provides our clients with preventive advice in the development of their business activities and in response to claims filed made by third parties or by the authorities. We assess and advise on marketing activities (including promotional offers or price changes). Clients come to us for advice on complex consumer claims that relate, for example, to contract conformity, warranty or product returns. We also represent businesses in proceedings before the INDECOPI and, subsequently, in judicial and administrative appeals against regulatory decisions. 

Our extensive experience in the matter covers a variety of areas of the economy such as air transport, automotive industry, banking, cooperatives, food and beverage, domestic and personal care products, department stores, supermarkets, home improvement centers, among others.

Finally, we support clients in developing strategies and step plans on adjusting their activity when legislation changes. Wherever necessary, we comment on draft legislation, upcoming changes and how to best address these.
