María Delia Oxley is the lead partner of the Competition, Intellectual Property and Consumer Products practice at CMS Grau. She has over 20 years of experience advising domestic and international companies on industrial property, copyright, consumer protection, unfair competition and commercial advertising. Her career includes the development of preventive legal strategies, the handling of complex disputes, and representation in administrative proceedings before INDECOPI, several of which have established important precedents for the sector.
In the field of intellectual property, she advises on the registration, renewal and enforcement of trade marks, as well as on the negotiation of licence agreements, trade mark coexistence arrangements, product manufacturing agreements, and advertising agency contracts. She also supports clients in internal audits, due diligence processes and strategies for the protection of copyright and domain names. She has successfully obtained recognition of well-known trade marks before the local authority and is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
In competition and consumer protection matters, she advises clients across sectors including banking, retail, food and beverage, automotive, and air transport. Her work covers complaints handling, product recalls and regulatory enforcement proceedings. She has represented clients such as Unilever, Falabella, Tottus, Sodimac, KLM, Air France, Copa, Wingo, Banco Falabella and Astara, providing comprehensive regulatory compliance advice tailored to their respective markets.
María Delia holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has completed postgraduate and specialised studies in intellectual property, competition and commercial law. Her academic background, combined with a solid and cross-disciplinary legal practice, enables her to deliver strategic advice tailored to each client’s specific needs.
