CMS Grau advises BCP on financing up to USD 17 MM in favor of Grupo Inkaterra

The transaction will support the corporate plans of the renowned Peruvian hotel group, owner of exclusive destinations in Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Tambopata. CMS Grau advised BCP throughout the entire process, from structuring to final disbursement of the loan.

CMS Grau advised Banco de Crédito del Perú (“BCP”) as lender in the structuring, negotiation and disbursement of a medium-term loan up to the sum of de USD 17 MM in favor of certain members of the Inkaterra Group: (i) Inka Terra Perú S.A.C.; (ii) Operadora Inka S.A.C.; and, (iii) Palma Real S.A.C. (the “Borrowers”), which will be destined to different corporate uses.
Grupo Inkaterra, to which the Borrowers belong, is one of Peru's best known luxury hotel chains with hotels in Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Valle Sagrado and Tambopata.

The collateral package included (i) a tailor-made pledge over certain cash flows; (ii) a surety bond; and, (iii) an addendum to the existing trust.

The closing of the transaction occurred on June, 27, while the disbursement of funds occurred on July, 2.
