Sandra Chicoma is a partner in the Aviation practice at CMS Grau. She advises clients in the sector on regulatory and operational matters related to national and international air transport, with a particular focus on Aviation Law, consumer protection and Administrative Law. Her practice includes structuring and recommending permits according to the type of air operation, as well as negotiating and drafting aircraft leasing, interchange and charter agreements, and codeshare and commercial cooperation agreements.
She has experience in the regulatory framework for the construction and operation of public and private aerodromes, and in representing clients in sanctioning proceedings before DGAC, INDECOPI, OSITRAN and MIGRACIONES. She also handles judicial disputes related to liability for damages arising from aviation accidents or incidents and administrative litigation, and provides regulatory advice for the design of policies, manuals and tariffs. Sandra participates in industry forums with associations such as IATA and ALTA and in the drafting of regulatory projects.
Academically, Sandra holds a Law degree and a Master’s in Business Law from Universidad de San Martín de Porres. She has also completed specialised courses with ICAO – International Civil Aviation Organization in Air Transport Regulation and Air Transport Economics for Airport Professionals, as well as specialisations in Administrative Law focused on sanctioning procedures.
