Martyna Markiewicz is a legal advisor and a Counsel in the Banking & Finance Department at CMS.

For more than 10 years Martyna has advised on financing transactions and restructuring projects. She represented both financial institutions, including the largest Polish and foreign banks, as well as investors, including real estate funds and private equity funds. Her specialisation includes in particular domestic and cross-border corporate financing transactions as well as real estate projects, including financing and refinancing the construction of shopping centers, office buildings and residential investments. Her experience also includes advising on export finance, assignments of credit facility claims and complex debt restructuring projects.

  • A private equity fund in connection with syndicated financing regarding acquisition of an organized part of the company's business in liquidation bankruptcy.
  • A syndicate of 4 Polish banks on refinancing of a shopping center development in southern Poland and repayment of the existing indebtedness.
  • The global investment and advisory firm on financing of the acquisition of a portfolio of 6 logistics and distribution parks located throughout Poland and the Czech Republic.
  • A syndicate of Polish banks on refinancing of the office and retail complex in Warsaw.
  • Two banks (Norwegian and its Polish subsidiary) in relation to step-in of Norwegian bank into position of its Polish subsidiary as creditor under facility agreements concerning financing of the office buildings in Warsaw. Structure was based on subrogation.
