CMS Portugal partner Alberto Galhardo Simões participated last friday as a speaker at the conference organised by Jornal de Negócios, ‘Radar África – os caminhos de Angola’ (Radar Africa – the paths of Angola), which was attended by the Angolan Minister of State and Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano.

The partner at CMS Portugal was part of the panel dedicated to the topic, ‘The role of institutions in promoting investment’, which also included: Arlindo Das Chagas Rangel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AIPEX Angola, Joana Lino Gaspar, Executive Director of AICEP and Joao Luis Traca, President of the Portugal-Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Reflecting on the evolution of private investment in Angola, the CMS Portugal partner said that it has been ‘absolutely remarkable’, emphasising that ‘the current law is very balanced, greatly encourages investment, is investor-friendly and strikes a good balance between the interests of the Angolan state and those of investors.”
