CMS Portugal in partnership with LBR promoted on November, 25 the webinar under the subject "Infrastructure Development - Sustainable Solutions and PPPs – Why ESG matters", with the aim of analysing and discussing infrastructure plans in Angola and ways of structuring and financing projects in a sustainable way, as well as the impact that adopting ESG criteria has in the competitiveness of companies and projects.
The session was moderated by Alberto Galhardo Simões, Partner of CMS Portugal, counted with a relevant panel of speakers: Bridgett Majola, Partner of CMS South Africa, Francisco Mendes, Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company in Angola and Nuno Gil, Founding Partner of Eaglestone, who addressed interesting aspects on PPPs and sustainable financing options.
The event, which included renowned speakers, from lawyers specializing in the Angolan market to representatives of relevant entities in this area, included a debate on the "Sustainability standards and criteria for attraction of investment", moderated by Maria Figueiredo, Of Counsel of CMS Portugal. Laura Houët, Partner of CMS UK, Sidney Magalhães, CEO of H-Impact and Elisabete Monteiro, of the ESG department of Banco ATLANTICO Europa also participated in this session.
