Catarina Pitta Soares is a Senior Associate in the Energy & Climate Change team and is part of the ESG Task Force.
She is experienced in energy law, providing advice to public companies and those in the energy sector, particularly about licensing solar energy projects and green hydrogen projects.
Catarina also has experience in the drafting of legal opinions and information on the legal and regulatory framework in the electricity, natural gas, green hydrogen, and lithium sectors, as well as in the drafting and reviewing PPA and EPC contracts and in the drafting of legal documents for the creation of renewable energy projects or the creation of Renewable Energy Communities.
She also advises on the development of projects related to energy auctions, electric mobility, and self-consumption of renewable solar energy.
Catarina is recognised for Energy Law and Public Law, as Ones to Watch, by Best Lawyers nos últimos anos.
Joined CMS Portugal in 2023.
