Joana Brito Paulo is a Counsel in the Lusophone Africa team and is part of the ESG Task Force.

She has over 15 years of experience advising on foreign investment, commercial and corporate law deals, mergers & and acquisitions, restructuring, and cross-border transactions in Portugal and in several countries of Lusophone Africa,  particularly Angola and Mozambique.

She has been involved in the acquisition and sale of several companies, national and international corporate restructuring operations, as well as in the structuring of international partnerships.

Joana also has extensive experience advising on transactions in Portuguese-speaking African countries, in particular in the planning and structuring of foreign investments in several sectors.

Joana is recommended for Angola Foreign Firms and Projects and Project Finance for Portugal, by Legal 500, 2025 and for Corporate Law, by Best Lawyers, 2025.
