Luís Miguel Romão is a Partner and heads the Antitrust, Competition and Trade team and is part of the ESG Task Force.

He has over 20 years of experience in Competition and EU law with a particular focus on state aids, cartels, litigation, abuses of dominant position, merger control, distribution and implementation of antitrust compliance programs, structural funds, and the four freedoms. Luís covers a wide range of industries, including healthcare, food and beverages, transportation, energy, financial services, and telecoms & and media.

Luís has been individually ranked for Competition/European Law, by Chambers Europe for the past 14 years and he is also acknowledged as a Leading Partner for EU and Competition by Legal 500, 2025. Moreover, he is recognised for Competition and Antitrust Law, by Best Lawyers since 2020 and ranked Recommended for Competition 2023, by WWL. In addition, he is ranked recommended for Antitrust by the Global Competition Review, 2022.
