Luís Miguel Romão has more than 20 years experience in Competition and EU law with a particular focus in state aids, cartels, litigation, abuses of dominant position, merger control, distribution and implementation of antitrust compliance programs, structural funds and the four freedoms. Luís practice has covered a wide range of industries, including healthcare, food and beverages, transportation, energy, financial services and telecoms & media.
Before joining CMS, he worked at the EU and Competition Law Department of the law firm PLMJ for about 13 years, under the first president of the EU General Court and former Advocate-General and judge at the ECJ in Luxembourg, Prof. Cruz Vilaça.
He was also Lead Lawyer for the Infrastructure and Cities and Healthcare Sectors and Corporate Centres at Siemens Portugal.
Joined CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut in 2014.
