Martin Wodraschke is a German qualified lawyer and Partner at CMS CEE based in Budapest. He is a commercial lawyer with over 20+ years of extensive experience in the areas of commercial/distribution and mergers and acquisitions (both transaction and post-merger integration), joint ventures, market entry strategies in CEE markets. 

He has strong expertise in structuring and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, agreements, transactions, and legal relationships between companies and investors in manufacturing sectors including their artificial intelligence aspects (e.g., ifactory, autonomous driving).

He is member of the Munich and Budapest Bar Associations.

Besides, he advises OEMs and other major investors on their business activities in Hungary and the CEE region. 
One of our key clients, a German OEM said about Martin and the firm: “…one of the big assets that we see in CMS – the project steering and the relationship partner who supports us greatly in making our requests efficient and the replies efficient.”

Martin is teaching German civil law at the Eötvös-Loránd-University Budapest and a Ph.D. candidate conducting research in Law&Economics at the Andrássy University Budapest on the development of liability rules for autonomous vehicles.

  • A German automotive and arms manufacturer on the establishment of verious joint venture companies (production and R&D facilities) and support of the customer during the entire ramp-up phase.
  • A German mining & metals company on the acquisition of all shares in SOLVARO Group.
  • A German company providing industry specific solutions in the automotive aftermarket sector on the foundation and development of a regional joint venture with InterCars (Poland) and AutoNet (Romania).
  • A major investment group being active throughout Europe on the acquisition of the Coats Group and the sale of Framochem.
