Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the hotel and leisure industry at an unprecedented rate.
It is crucial for business professionals in this sector to stay up-to-date with opportunities of AI as well its legal implications.

In this webinar, Patrick Adamle, Managing Partner of mrp hotels, will offer insights into current applications of AI in the hospitality and leisure industry, while partner Gregor Famira and senior associate Martina Gavalec will provide a comprehensive overview of the key legal issues in the context of the forthcoming EU AI regulation.

The upcoming EU AI Act may impose hefty fines based on companies' global turnover, so firms should learn how to avoid unintentional violations and penalties under the AI Act compliance regime. Attendees will learn how to protect their businesses while leveraging AI to their advantage at the same time.

As a first step, business professionals need to consider what the risk is of implementing an AI system in their daily operations. The AI Act, which is in its final legislative stages, will classify AI systems into four risk categories: prohibited, high-risk, limited risk, and minimal risk. For instance, high-risk AI systems will be subject to strict regulatory requirements. Certain AI system are even prohibited.

In this webinar, we will discuss the following :

  • Real case scenarios of AI applications in the hotel & leisure industry
  • EU AI Act as the world's first comprehensive regulation on AI
  • Risk categorization of the AI system and respective compliance obligations
  • How to avoid hefty fines for non-compliance.
  • How to stay informed with ever-evolving AI landscape at CMS AI Hub
