Peter Machherndl now attorney-at-law at CMS in Vienna

Peter Machherndl, a member of the Dispute Resolution team of CMS in Vienna, has recently become a registered attorney-at-law. His focus is in particular on investor law, insolvency law and white collar crime.

Peter Machherndl (28), who has been supporting CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz in the field of Dispute Resolution as an associate since 2014, decided to remain loyal to the international law firm also now that he has become a registered attorney-at-law. His particular focus continues to be on investor law, including defending against claims for damages vis-à-vis issuers and advisers, as well as providing support and representation in mass proceedings. Additional focal points of his work are insolvency law and white collar crime. In the case of the latter, the native of Wels, Upper Austria, focuses on advising and representing defendants and victims in commercial criminal proceedings. “Peter Machherndl has decided to continue contributing his expertise to the CMS Vienna Dispute Resolution Team, something we are very pleased about,” says Daniela Karollus-Bruner, Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Team at CMS Vienna. 

Machherndl completed his law degree at the University of Vienna in 2012. Prior to joining CMS, he worked as a legal adviser for a non-profit organisation, focusing on consultation and representation in matters of asylum, immigration and residence law.
