Alexander Sommergruber has been an associate in the Antitrust, Competition & Trade practice area since March 2024. He advises national and international companies in antitrust proceedings and merger control procedures before the Austrian competition authorities and the European Commission. In addition, he counsels clients from various industries on issues of investment screening.
He completed his studies at the University of Vienna in 2023 with a specialisation in private commercial law. In the course of his studies, he was a successful participant in the Antitrust Law Moot Court. In addition, he gained extensive experience working for law firms in Upper Austria and in Vienna during his studies. He completed his court internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Vienna.
