Stefan Paulmayer is a distinguished attorney-at-law specialising in Banking & Finance law. As a partner in the Corporate Transactions practice group, Stefan is experiences in financing, asset-backed financing (securitisation), restructuring and insolvency law, derivative transactions, Corporate M&A concerning regulated entities, capital markets, and banking supervisory law.​

He has built a strong track record in large-scale real estate and solar energy (photovoltaic) project finance, as well as other complex financing structures. Stefan regularly advises on cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters, including bank reorganisations, settlement procedures, and transactions involving distressed assets.​

Stefan advises banks, insurers, FinTechs, and industrial clients on complex financial matters and represents them in regulatory, judicial, and arbitration proceedings.​

He is also a sought-after lecturer on blockchain, digital finance, and financial technology law, and is recognised for his expertise in advising FinTech companies on smart contracts, digital assets, and crypto regulatory compliance.​
