Wolfgang Hellsberg is a senior lawyer in the Banking & Finance team in CMS Vienna. He advises a range of Austrian and international banks and companies on financing matters, drawing on experience in both domestic and international transactions. His work covers project, real estate, corporate and acquisition financings, where he is involved in structuring and negotiating financing arrangements, often across multiple jurisdictions.
Wolfgang’s expertise includes advising on financial restructurings, as well as supporting clients through the complexities of large-scale (syndicated) financings. He is familiar with the challenges of coordinating transactions that involve several parties and diverse interests, and he regularly works on solutions tailored to the needs of clients in all industries.
Before joining CMS, Wolfgang worked for an international law firm in Vienna as well as a secondee at a major Austrian bank, gaining insight into the practical aspects of financings from the perspective of lenders and borrowers.
