As the pressure on social care services increases, the number of family carers is also set to rise. There are currently 6.5 million carers in the UK, and three in five people in the UK will be a carer at some point in their lives. By 2030, it is expected that the number of unpaid carers will increase to 9 million.

With this context in mind, we asked each of our 2,000 survey respondents to say whether or not they were currently a carer. Their perspectives on the key issues we explore in the report are significant. To find out more, please download Our Future Financial Lives report.
