The EmpCo Directive is coming: New rules for environmental and sustainability communication

With the national implementation of the EU Directive on Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition ((EU) 2024/825, the “EmpCo Directive”), businesses are facing significant changes regarding environmental and sustainability communication as of September 27, 2026.

During our webinar, Gabriela Staber and Isabella Redl highlighted the most important changes introduced by the EmpCo Directive, the current status of its implementation in Austria, and the environmental and sustainability claims affected.
