CMS advises on financing of photovoltaic and battery energy storage project in Bulgaria

CMS has advised on the legal due diligence of a 32 MWp photovoltaic and 66 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Bulgaria.

The project has been successfully financed with approximately EUR 20m by UniCredit. The borrower, Enerfin 2 OOD, is part of Bulgaria Solar group, from USA.

The financing will support the construction and operation of the project in the village of Chernogor, Silistra region of Bulgaria. 

The CMS team was led by Borislava Piperkova and Kostadin Sirleshtov, and included Vaska Solakova (Real Estate); Alexander Rangelov (Tax); and Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska and  Niya Ivanova (Energy).
