CMS Sofia has assisted with the successful putting in operation of the 57.6-megawatt-peak Sinitovo photovoltaic project and its 24/48 MWh co-located BESS, developed by Solar Park Trakiya JSCo, a joint venture between the original developers of the project and “Drag Holding” Ltd, in April 2026.
The start of operation follows the successful EUR 32m and EUR 8.2m financing from EuroBank Bulgaria agreed in 2025 and 2026 respectively, where CMS acted for the Borrower.
In November 2024, CMS Sofia successfully licensed the Sinitovo project with the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission.
CMS Sofia Managing Partner Kostadin Sirleshtov commented on the success: “We have been assisting Solar Park Trakiya since 2010 and it is a dream come true to see the project operational after all these years. We hope that this is just the beginning of the successful collaboration between the partners in the project, as it provides opportunities for so many synergies for the future.”
The CMS Sofia team acting on the project included Kostadin Sirleshtov, Borislava Piperkova, Diyan Georgiev, Elena Yotova-Yordanova, Viktoriya Toneva, Boris Kirov and Niya Ivanova (Energy).
