Our breadth of expertise, combined with our industry knowledge, enables us to provide comprehensive advice to companies operating in regulated markets such as energy, telecommunication and the media.

When it comes to regulated industries, we have many years of experience representing our clients before the relevant authorities, such as the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). The energy and telecommunication sectors are a particular focus.

Sector: Energy

Our specialists for energy regulation law and competition law in the energy sector are recognised experts within the legal sector. Since energy regulation was first introduced, they have been advising our clients on all issues relating to network access and network tariff regulation, including the unbundling of networks and storage facilities, and representing clients before the regulatory authorities and in the appeal courts. This includes issues relating to hydrogen network regulation. Other areas of advice are the award of electricity and gas concessions, including the special civil proceedings, and water concessions. Lastly, we have many years of experience in price abuse control by the competition authorities for electricity, gas, water and district heating.
