Düsseldorf – Energieversorgung Beckum GmbH & Co. KG (evb) has acquired a ground-mounted solar array in Beckum from the project developer Green FOX Energy. This transaction further expands the regional energy supplier's portfolio of renewable energy plants and in doing so bolsters the local energy transition.

evb has acquired all the partnership interests in the project company Solarprojekt Beckum Werse/Holtmar GmbH & Co. KG, which had been established to develop and realise the project. With the acquisition of the shares, evb will also take over the operation of the plant in future.

A CMS team led by Dr Christoph von Eiff and Dr Nora Zabel provided evb with comprehensive legal advice on the transaction. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.

The solar farm is on a site of around three hectares between Werseweg and Holtmarweg in Beckum. The facility consists of around 5,900 solar panels with an installed capacity of approximately 3.5 megawatts peak. The expected annual electricity generation of around 3.7 million kilowatt-hours is enough to supply more than 1,000 households with electricity. evb officially took over the solar farm from Green FOX Energy on 18 March.
