Düsseldorf – Multi-family holding company Liberta Partners has acquired ght GmbH Elektronik im Verkehr through its Liberta Partners Fund II. ght is a trading and services company for applications and systems in the automotive and systems technology sectors. Details of the purchase price were not disclosed. Completion of the deal is scheduled for the first quarter of this year. The company will subsequently be integrated into a holding structure together with Kienzle Automotive GmbH, which Liberta Partners acquired in 2020.
A CMS team headed by partner Dr Jürgen Frodermann advised the ght shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction. The advice also covered the prior carve-out of ght’s business premises – which included the acquisition of a plot of land – from a leasing company, and structuring the reinvestment by ght’s managing director, who will become the new CEO and a shareholder of the holding company. The CMS team previously acted on the seller side when Kienzle Automotive GmbH was acquired by Liberta Partners in 2020.
