CMS advises investors on sale of shares in software and IT service provider Coperitus
Cologne – The shareholders of Coperitus GmbH have successfully sold their shares to a new investor, Waldegg Equity Partners GmbH. Two of the sellers have re-invested as part of the transaction and will remain associated with the company. The transaction represents an important step in the strategic development of Coperitus GmbH and emphasises the company's attractiveness in the market for software and IT services in the financial sector.
A CMS team led by Klaus Jäger advised the sellers comprehensively on the structuring, negotiation and implementation of the transaction. The scope of advice included, in particular, corporate law issues and the structuring of re-investment solutions for the sellers involved.
Coperitus is a leading IT and software service provider for the financial sector and develops specialised solutions for international banks and national brokers – especially for the investment business. The transaction has created a long-term succession plan that is geared towards future growth.
