Stuttgart – Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art electric arc welding systems for industrial applications, is joining forces with Daihen Corporation of Japan. The deal will make Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH part of Daihen Corporation, which is a listed company with global operations. The merger is aimed at enhancing the product portfolio in terms of capabilities and automation, strengthening access to the European market and driving forward the company’s expansion. Alongside synergies in product development around welding technology, the parties are also seeking closer cooperation in welding automation through robotics. Development, production, administration and sales, including the highly effective partner network, will remain unchanged. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
