CMS advises on the sale of Ralf Käcker Bauunternehmung to Terras Spezialtiefbau

Stuttgart – The shareholders in Ralf Käcker Bauunternehmung (RKBU) have sold a majority stake in the company to the Terras Tiefbau Group (a portfolio company of Auctus Capital Partners). RBKU is a specialist in the construction of overhead power lines and mobile communications infrastructure with its registered office in Neustadt-Glewe (Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania).

The company's management will remain in post and will continue to actively support the German energy transition. Ralf Käcker, one of the company's directors and its namesake, will also remain with the company as a minority shareholder. The sector is currently experiencing a major revival, not least due to the German federal government's infrastructure package. Further transactions in this area are expected.

A team led by partner Dr Tobias Schneider provided comprehensive legal advice on the transaction.

RKBU provides support throughout Germany with establishing overhead power lines and mobile communications sites for demanding civil engineering, concrete and steel construction work relating to foundations. With the acquisition of RKBU, Terras is expanding its own offering in overhead power line construction. The acquisition gives Terras the opportunity in the future to offer the entire portfolio of services along the energy transition value chain.
