CMS advises shareholders of the UX Group on their sale to Steliau
Cologne – The UX Group, with its registered office in Gilching near Munich, is a high-tech full-service provider of smart connected devices. The company's focus is on the food & beverage, medical technology and industrial retail markets. The group enables its customers to digitally transform their products by seamlessly integrating embedded systems, HMI, IoT and AI. Based on typical customer needs, UX and its subsidiaries Ultratronik GmbH, Imago Design GmbH and basysKom GmbH serve customers along the entire value chain – from the development of a suitable product strategy, product and user experience design and engineering to series production and product lifecycle services.
A CMS team led by partner Dr Malte Bruhns played a leading role in providing legal and tax advice to the UX Group shareholders on the sale of the company to the Steliau Technology Group, a portfolio group of the international private equity investor Astorg that is based in France. The advice also covered the re-investment of individual sellers and top managers in various participation programmes in the buyer group.
Steliau, with its registered office in Rungis near Paris, is a leading pan-European value-added distributor specialising in HMI, IoT and embedded systems solutions for numerous retail markets.
