CMS appoints four new partners at start of year

06/01/2020

Berlin – Commercial law firm CMS Germany has expanded the partnership at the start of the year by appointing four new partners from the Corporate/M&A, Banking & Finance, Corporate Criminal Liability/Compliance and Real Estate & Public divisions at its Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart offices. “2019 was a very gratifying year for CMS with many exciting instructions and challenging projects. The new partners contributed to that success through their deep commitment, outstanding work and by developing key business areas. These appointments are a reaffirmation of our chosen path and forward-looking market positioning,” said Dr Hubertus Kolster, Managing Partner of CMS in Germany.

For the sixth year in a row, CMS took first place in the latest “Kanzleimonitor” survey, which is conducted annually by the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Lawyers (diruj). The survey shows that CMS remained the law firm most frequently recommended by heads of in-house legal departments in 2019.

“We are delighted by this accolade and the top ratings across a wide range of areas. The fact that CMS took first place for the sixth time in a row shows that clients greatly appreciate our qualified, real-world advice. This success is based on high-quality, broad-based expertise, our track record of addressing and shaping emerging issues, and the international reach of the CMS organisation. The ranking is an incentive for us to remain committed to our chosen path. In doing so, we will continue to build on the long-standing, trusted relationships with our clients,” said Dr Hubertus Kolster.
