The new partners at CMS in Germany
Dr Imme Kley (Life Sciences & Healthcare, Hamburg) has been with CMS since 2013. She works in the Life Sciences & Healthcare and Agro Sciences practice. Her clients include pharmaceutical and medical products companies, pesticide manufacturers and firms in related regulated industries. She advises them on the contract types commonly used in the industry (e.g. strategic joint venture projects, distribution) and on regulatory issues (including legal representation).
Dr Imme Kley: “CMS has been very successful in steadily expanding its footprint in Life Sciences & Healthcare and Agro Sciences at national and international level in recent years, making it one of the leading practices in the market. I look forward to further strengthening our international team now as a partner, and providing our global clients with legal support in these complex growth markets.”
Patrick Lühr (Corporate/M&A, Berlin) has been a lawyer at CMS since 2014. He specialises in advising private equity investors on national and international M&A transactions. He has particular experience in complex international private equity transactions, such as GP-led secondaries. Patrick Lühr has specific expertise in technology (especially IT) and the pharmaceutical industry. In 2022, he completed a secondment to CMS’s London office. He also leverages his expertise by co-authoring the CMS European Private Equity Study.
Patrick Lühr: “I am delighted that we have been able to expand our Private Equity practice so successfully in the past few years. In my future role as a partner, I look forward to helping drive the continued growth of what is a key area for the firm.”
Dr Saskia Pitzer (Employment, Cologne) began her career as a lawyer at CMS in 2015. She advises national and international companies on individual and collective employment law. In addition to advising on restructuring, a focus of her work is on providing legal advice to companies relating to HR compliance, particularly involving works constitution law. As a speaker of Dutch, another aspect of Saskia Pitzer’s work is advising Dutch companies on German employment law.
Dr Saskia Pitzer: “Advising on HR compliance doesn’t just mean being familiar with the constantly expanding regulatory requirements on paper and helping clients to understand the implications, but also advising companies on real-world implementation of these regulations in a way that is practice-oriented, future-proof and fully addresses the risks. I am pleased to be able to do that as a partner from January 2025.”
