Berlin – Commercial law firm CMS Germany has appointed four new partners with effect from the start of 2024. These appointments expand the partnership in the Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A and Private Clients practice areas.
“I would like to warmly congratulate the new partners, whose outstanding work, backed by a business mindset, is immensely appreciated by our clients. I’m delighted that we have been able to appoint them. Alongside their technical excellence, they will also make a substantial contribution to the firm’s continuing growth,” commented Dr Martin Vorsmann, Managing Partner of CMS Germany.
As in previous years, these partner appointments reflect CMS’s policy of promoting strong individuals from within the firm’s own ranks. “For many years now, we have focused primarily on the firm’s own young lawyers, apart from adding a small number of highly regarded external experts to strengthen the team. Developing and nurturing in-house talent is a core element of our strategy,” explained Dr Vorsmann.
CMS Germany impresses with strong performance
CMS Germany again received various awards during the past year, including this year’s JUVE Award as Law Firm of the Year for Antitrust. CMS achieved 13 top tier rankings in the latest JUVE Handbook for Commercial Law Firms, further underlining the firm’s strong performance. CMS Germany also performed impressively in the “Kanzleimonitor” survey, once again taking top spot in the overall ranking. The survey is based on an annual poll of heads of corporate legal departments by the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Lawyers (diruj). “Bolstered by the newly appointed partners, we remain fully committed to offering our clients outstanding advice,” Dr Vorsmann concluded.
