Leipzig – The HUK-Coburg insurance group has acquired the new future corporate headquarters of CONDOR Flugdienst GmbH at Frankfurt Airport in a share deal. The vendors were Groß & Partner and OFB; the latter is part of the Helaba real estate group.
A team led by lead partner Gerd Schmidt advised the HUK insurance group on the transaction.
The topping-off ceremony for the future corporate headquarters of CONDOR Flugdienst GmbH was held in June 2011, with completion scheduled for spring 2012. The building is part of the "Gateway Gardens" zone being developed jointly by Groß & Partner and OFB at Frankfurt Airport. It offers a total of almost 14,800 square metres of rental space across seven floors. With some 11,800 square metres of space, Condor is the main tenant in the new building. In addition to offices for around 380 employees, it will be home to a Flight Operations Centre for briefing the 2,000 or so crew members and a training centre including a simulator. A café and restaurant are planned for the ground floor. The facilities also include an adjacent car park with approximately 600 spaces.
