With more than 20 years‘ experience, Marc Kyewski advises clients on private construction law, including all architectural matters, as well as on real estate law. He primarily provides legal advice during the construction phase of large-scale projects, drafts construction contracts and advises on construction law issues that arise in the context of real estate transactions. He also regularly represents his clients in complex construction disputes. Project developers, real estate investors and major construction companies trust his expertise that covers the entire project development, from planning to the construction phase.

Marc joined CMS in 1993 and has been a partner since 1998. He is co-editor of a leading German guide for construction contracts (Vertragshandbuch Privates Baurecht) and wrote the commentary on the general contractor agreements chapter.

Relevant experience

  • Advising a major car manufacturer in Leipzig during the construction phase of a manufacturing plant, including a customer centre and test track
  • Advising the former real estate subsidiary of a bank on the warranty management of properties with several hundred units
  • Advising a globally operating accountancy firm on the construction of its new headquarters in Germany
  • Advising an insurance group on the acquisition and construction of several large office buildings in Frankfurt, Hanover, Essen and Leipzig
  • Advising a project developer on construction and real estate matters regarding the conversion and renovation of a former office high-rise in Munich and the construction of 320 business apartments (Olympia-Tower)
