Düsseldorf – PCC SE has sold its subsidiary PCC Energie GmbH to Nexus Energía S.A. of Barcelona. PCC Energie GmbH has been supplying power and gas to industry and SMEs throughout Germany since 1999. According to the company’s own figures, PCC Energie GmbH sales will total around EUR 125 million in 2010. The customer base includes some 6,100 industrial companies, other commercial enterprises and retail chains.
A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by Dr Dirk Jannott advised PCC SE on all aspects of the transaction.
Duisburg-based PCC Group comprises more than 70 companies in 13 countries and employs a total of over 2,200 people. Group sales are generated in three main divisions: Chemicals, Energy, Logistics. PCC expects sales of around EUR 580 million in the current financial year.
Spanish energy supplier Nexus Energía S.A. specialises in electricity and gas distribution. Based on its own figures, the company supplies more than 5,000 gigawatt hours a year and expects sales to exceed EUR 500 million in 2010.
