CMS team supports VR-LEASING in the sale of BFL Leasing to BAWAG Group
Frankfurt/Main – Austrian BAWAG Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BFL Leasing GmbH from BFL Gesellschaft des Bürofachhandels mbH & Co. KG. VR-LEASING AG is the majority shareholder in BFL. All parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The final closing of the transaction is still subject to approval by the antitrust and financial services regulatory authorities.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Oliver C. Wolfgramm provided VR-LEASING with comprehensive legal advice on all transaction-related issues.
With its brand VR Smart Finanz, VR LEASING is a partner for solutions for the Mittelstand within the Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, the second largest banking group in Germany. The range of services includes tailor-made solutions for leasing, lease-purchase and loan as well as digital services for everyday financing.
BFL Leasing is according to own account one of the leading IT financing specialists in Germany. With its sales partners, BFL Leasing GmbH offers financing solutions for hardware and software, projects including software, licenses and services in the IT sector, office technology as well as information and communication technology. The company employs approximately 75 people and reported total assets of approximately 600 million Euro by yearend 2017.
BAWAG Group AG is the listed holding company of BAWAG P.S.K., which is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, with the main banking subsidiaries easybank and start:bausparkasse in Austria as well as Südwestbank and Deutscher Ring Bausparkasse in Germany.
