Expansion strategy: CMS advises NORD Holding on expanding Public Cloud Group by acquiring LNW-Soft
Cologne – The Public Cloud Group has expanded its portfolio of services by acquiring Erding-based SAP specialist LNW-Soft. The acquisition will enable the multi-cloud service provider to migrate its clients’ SAP workloads to different platforms and operate them there, thereby helping clients to set up a lean, agile and future-proof cloud infrastructure. Ulm-based Public Cloud Group focuses on infrastructure, the digital workplace, software development, security and SAP, and is using this transaction to further round out its strategic portfolio. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team led by Klaus Jäger and Matthias Engelen provided NORD Holding, which is the majority shareholder and strategic partner of the Public Cloud Group, with extensive legal advice on the acquisition. The relationship between CMS and NORD Holding goes back many years, with the law firm regularly acting for NORD Holding both on the acquisition side and in relation to exits. The team has advised the private equity firm on all the Public Cloud Group’s transactions over the past two years. In addition, the team headed by CMS partner Klaus Jäger recently provided NORD Holding with legal support around the sale of heating and air-con specialist BOCK to Danish company Danfoss Group.
