Angela Emmert is a widely experienced labor and employment lawyer, advising German and international clients on restructurings and business unit spin-offs, flexible staff deployment, mass redundancies, the implementation of changes to collective bargaining agreements and the harmonization of working conditions as well as on developing flexible working hours and remuneration programs. She handles the strategic preparation of the restructurings and the conducts the negotiations with trade unions and works councils on collective bargaining agreements, works agreements, reconciliation of interests, staff reduction, redundancy programs or transfer of business.
Together with her team, Angela covers all employment aspects of national and international transactions, including carrying out the due diligence process and drafting contracts in respect to solving specific employment law challenges. She advises clients on the preparation of M&A transactions, including vendor and buyer due diligence, as well as on post-merger integration.
Furthermore, Angela advises companies on the introduction and implementation of compliance programs and on their ongoing adaptation. She also advises on individual employment relationships, including the conclusion and termination of service agreements with management. Clients benefit in particular from Angela’s sound commercial understanding of their respective industry and she has particular know-how of sectors such as metal and chemicals, hotels and leisure, construction as well as healthcare and pharmaceutical. She advises both listed and medium-sized companies.
