Kiefel advised by CMS on successful acquisition of Mould & Matic Solutions Group of Austria

Munich – Kiefel GmbH has acquired Mould & Matic Solutions Group of Austria. Kiefel is a global manufacturer of machinery for processing plastic film materials. The transaction has been approved by the Austrian competition authorities. The purchase price was not disclosed.

An international team from CMS Germany, CMS Austria and CMS Czech Republic led by Richard Mitterhuber, Dr Thomas Mühl and Johannes Trenkwalder advised Kiefel GmbH on all legal aspects of preparing for, negotiating and implementing the transaction. Kiefel GmbH is part of the Brückner Group and supplies customers in the automotive, medical technology, refrigeration and packaging industries. It has relied for many years on the expertise of CMS’s lawyers, who recently advised the company on the successful acquisition of the Dutch Bosch Sprang Group and of the SWA Group of the Czech Republic.

Mould and Matic Solutions has production sites in Austria and the Czech Republic and develops, produces and sells tools and automation solutions for thermoforming and injection moulding machines used in the packaging industry. With this acquisition, Kiefel plans to further expand its automation solutions for thermoforming machines in particular.
