Thomas Muehl advises on mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and group company agreements as well as on corporate disputes. He also focuses on internal investigations, the juridical enforcement of related claims and the setting up and assessment of compliance management systems. He advises national and international companies and entrepreneurs in particular in the automotive, industrial and technology sector. With long-standing project experience, Thomas often acts as project manager in complex cases.

Thomas joined CMS in Munich in 2006 and has been a principal counsel since 2019. Since 2017, he has also been Co-Head of the firm’s Smart Operations unit in Berlin with responsibility for the establishment and development of Smart Operations as an in-house service unit that integrates innovative digital and resource-optimised ways in legal advisory work.

Munich – CMS advises the sellers of Cardior Pharmaceuticals in the potential acquisition of the company by Novo Nordisk. Novo Nordisk has agreed to acquire Cardior for up to 1.025 billion Euros, including an upfront payment and additional payments if certain development and commercial milestones are achieved. The agreement includes Cardior’s lead compound CDR132L, currently in phase 2 clinical development for the treatment of heart failure. The closing of the acquisition is subject to receipt of applicable regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
