Andreas regularly advises clients on all aspects of commercial contracts, in particular on general terms and conditions, research and development agreements, license agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and multi-jurisdictional purchasing and supply (framework) agreements. Andreas has been involved in numerous commercial litigation lawsuits, including several high-profile litigation proceedings in relation to domestic and cross-border business disputes and product liability cases.
Andreas has particular expertise in the automotive industry. In this area, Andreas advises for numerous vehicle manufacturers (OEM) also various Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
Andreas also has particular expertise in the defence industry. In this area, Andreas advises his clients on procurement-related matters, including the general terms and conditions of the BAAINBw, as well as on European Defence Fund projects, consortium agreements and research and development projects.
Andreas has extensive experience handling product liability crisis scenarios and regularly advises on product recalls and product warnings across a wide range of industry sectors including the automotive industry, child safety products, consumer goods and industry products. In the area of product liability matters, Andreas particularly defends manufacturers in and out of court against product liability claims and enforces product liability claims in the supply chain.
Andreas' practice in the area of commercial contracts covers all types of general commercial agreements and in particular multi-jurisdictional procurement agreements. Andreas also advises his clients on the development of procurement strategies, in particular in the area of the global standardization of template contracts. In this area, Andreas has particular experience with procurement agreements to be used within all of the client's countries of operations in substantially identical form ("one world one contract"). Andreas also has substantial experience in the automation of procurement contracts ("smart contracts").
Andreas has been a partner at CMS in Munich since 2011.
