Barbara Bittmann has long-standing experience advising German and international companies on operative and strategic employment and labour law matters, in particular in the context of restructurings, transfers of undertakings and transactions as well as in relation to co-determination rights and collective bargaining agreements. She often works on cross-border projects.

Barbara‘s practice furthermore focuses on remuneration and the specific employment law aspects pertaining to supervisory and management board members and other executives, and she also regularly assists her clients with compliance issues.

She joined CMS in 1998 and in 2001 was seconded to work for the firm in Hong Kong. Barbara was made partner in 2003 and qualified as a certified lawyer for labor and employment law in 2002. She is co-head of the Centre of Excellence ‘Co-determination’ at CMS.
